  1. Back to Business (B2B) Grants for Creative Arts, Hotels & Restaurants: Closing in two days! For businesses located in Illinois. All applicants will receive a grant as long as they meet eligibility requirements and submit proper documentation and attestations required by the program.   2. Houston “Open For Business Grant”: Houston Equity Fund for minority-owned small businesses has about $8 million total grant available for eligible businesses and nonprofits. Awards range from $5,000-$100,000 per organization.  The application will open from May 15 – May 31.   3. Maryland Small Business Development Financing Authority: MSBDFA promotes the viability and expansion of all small businesses in Maryland.   4. Excite Credit Union’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund Opportunity): For businesses in San Jose, Calif. and Wilmington, NC. Funding will support start-ups and small businesses, especially immigrant and minority-owned businesses. Excite CU will administer this grant opportunity through regional small business training programs – Latino Business Foundation Silicon Valley (LBFSV) and Jobs to Grow in Santa Clara County, both in San Jose and Genesis Block Hub for Entrepreneurship in North Carolina.
